John Doraemi, Crimes of the State: CommonDreams / Common Blunders: Attacking the 9/11 Dissenters

Rovics’ peeve is that a heckler at his anti-war singing performance was rude and belligerent. The poor behavior consisted of shouting from, “a red-faced white man with an ominous hand-written sign reading, ‘9/11 was a lie.‘” Rovics doesn’t go into any detail upon what preceded this man’s shouting fit (something Rovics may have said on the p.a. system?), but Rovics does take it upon himself to smear everyone seeking the truth of 9/11 because of a few such individuals.

If the same tactic — the same standard — is employed against the “anti-war movement,” because of the negative behavior of a few individuals… perhaps Rovics could understand his error. Perhaps not.

So, Rovics feels attacked by the “9/11 Truth Movement,” and so he feels justified in attacking back, and CommonDreams feels justified in printing his attack. Why? I don’t know.

A private security company organized and managed by former Secret Service officers spied on Greenpeace and other environmental organizations from the late 1990s through at least 2000, pilfering documents from trash bins, attempting to plant undercover operatives within groups, casing offices, collecting phone records of activists, and penetrating confidential meetings. According to company documents provided to Mother Jones by a former investor in the firm, this security outfit collected confidential internal records—donor lists, detailed financial statements, the Social Security numbers of staff members, strategy memos—from these organizations and produced intelligence reports for public relations firms and major corporations involved in environmental controversies. . . .

• Bli skeptisk når såkalte prominente skikkelser i “Bevegelsen” - mer eller mindre - aggressivt pusher ingen-fly-ved-Pentagon, som om ingen-fly-teorien er opplest og vedtatt (som for eksempel David Ray Griffin). Den er ikke det. Mer om det snart.
• Studer tema som desinformasjon, COINTELPRO og psykologiske operasjoner (psy-op). Avgjørende for å forstå cover-up-mekanismene. Det er umulig å forsvare seg mot noe en ikke vet hva er.
• Ikke vær kritisk til agnostikere. Alle, og da mener jeg virkelig alle, burde ha en agnostisk holdning til hva som egentlig hendte. Vi vet at den offisielle konspirasjonsteorien ikke er korrekt. Vi vet at det er behov for en ny etterforskning. Men vi vet ikke eksakt hva som hendte.
• Bli kritisk når folk går for langt i det de sier, de vet akkurat hva som skjedde osv. Dette er også en form for portvokting. Det psykologiske spranget mellom Matrix og en eller annen ukjent og overdimensjonert sinnssyk verden kan fort bli stort. For stort.
• Ikke bland 9/11 med Illuminati, UFO osv. Nok en form for portvokting, uavhengig av om det er intensjonelt. Vanlig latterliggjørings- og tåkeleggingsteknikk.
• Avstå i størst mulig grad fra sterk språkbruk overfor meningsmotstandere. Drøy konfrontasjon skaper bare splid og barrierer, samt alle-piggene-ut-oppførsel. Lett å stikke seg.
• Ikke spam kommentarfelt. Folk leser det ikke allikevel. Mange blir også irritert. Kommentarer er flott, men ikke utallige A4-sider med copy og paste på engelsk.
• Si ifra når folk snakker tull over tid. Ta avstand.

Siste mann ut på teoretiserings-fronten er Larry Silverstein som har kommet frem til at det nordre Tvillingtårnets antenne - den som faller (og da altså for det meste rett ned) 10-12 fot før kollapsinitiering - på forunderlig vis fløy over til WTC7, hvorpå den i landingen rev over et par drivstoffrør.

Dette må så ha forårsaket et branninferno som vandret rundt i WTC7 og varmet opp den bærende stålkonstruksjonen til, og forbi, smeltepunktet (etter alle solemerker grunnet Manuel Garcias “intelligente drivstoff“). Bygningens eneste vei ut av smertehelvetet var å gjennomføre en symmetrisk totalkollaps - i nær på fritt falls hastighet (såkalt skyskraperharakiri). Trolig inspirert av antennen.

A prominent 9/11 truth leader sent the following email about disinformation and disruption in the 9/11 movement. I’m waiting for permission to use his name. I assure you, though, that he is someone with no axe to grind, and who is not in “one” camp or the “other”. He cares only about truth.

His message provides a road map for how to deal with the infiltration, co-option, disruption and disinformation which has been unleashed against the 9/11 truth and justice movements, since those movements have the power to pull the rug out from under the whole fascist enterprise.

Allow me to suggest that we don’t need to choose between denunciation, on the one hand, and silence, on the other. That is an unnecessary choice, a false dichotomy.

Denunciation plays into their hands, which is unintended complicity.

Silence is also complicity, as Dr. Martin Luther King pointed out.

Instead of these two approaches, what’s needed is politically relevant education.

Education about agents of all kinds, especially agents provocateurs, their history, who employs them, their tactics.

There is a huge literature on this. We do not need to start at square one. Read about Operation Mockingbird. Read about COINTELPRO. Apply what we learn to today’s situation. Keep digging, learning, discussing, educating.

GUIDELINES FOR COPING WITH INFILTRATION

1. Be careful to avoid pushing a new or hesitant member, or one facing personal, financial, or legal problems, to take risks beyond what that person is ready to handle, particularly in situations which could result in arrest and prosecution. People in positions of legal or other jeopardy have proven especially vulnerable to recruitment as informers.

2. Deal openly with the form and content of what anyone says and does, whether the person is a suspected agent, has emotional problems, or is simply a sincere but naive or confused person new to the work.

3. Establish a process through which anyone who suspects an infiltrator (or other covert intervention) can express his or her fears without scaring others. Experienced people assigned this responsibility can do a great deal to help a group maintain its morale and focus while, at the same time, consolidating information and deciding how to use it. This plan works best when accompanied by group discussion of the danger of paranoia, so that everyone understands the reasons for following the established procedure.

And now, five years later, what have we accomplished?

In short, everything and nothing. We began this movement to convince the American public and the world that the official story of 9/11 was a lie, and that ruling factions within our own government were the real perpetrators. This we accomplished. Opinion polls conducted over the last two years show that the majority of Americans believe the US government was complicit. We bombarded every mainstream and alternative medium available with information, from Air America to internet blogs. We handed out leaflets in cities and towns across the country, held signs on street corners, wrote letters to everyone we could think of. And you know what? It worked. Today it is rare that I talk to a person who doesn’t believe the US government was involved in the attacks in some way. Compared to just two years ago, when people would look at us like we were crazy for suggesting such a thing, this is an amazing success.

Or so it seems. For at the same time, not a single perpetrator of 9/11 has been prosecuted, and the War on Terror continues unabated, as does the endless stream of lies and propaganda designed to keep us fearful and compliant. Why this discrepancy? What accounts for the 9/11 Truth Movement’s seeming victory in shattering the American public’s blind acceptance of the official story, and the stark reality that nothing has changed politically? In other words, why, in the midst of total success, have we failed?

The Big Tent refers to strategy of inclusiveness to grow the 9/11 Truth Movement. Big Tent emphasizes tolerance of diverse ideas and theories over quality of evidence and reasoning. The strategy has long been reflected in websites and books that uncritically endorse the gamut of materials purporting to disprove the official story, as if the authors never met a theory of official complicity they didn’t like.

The Appeal of the Big Tent

The Big Tent idea appeals to the egalitarian and idealistic values of grassroots activists in social justice movements such as the 9/11 Truth Movement. It seems to represent a kind of antithesis to the values of whoever was apparently behind the crimes of 9/11/01 — a highly exclusive and secretive cabal wielding murderous power. In particular, Big Tent seems to embody at least three values, each seemingly beneficial to the Movement:

#equality : Treating all ideas equally values each person’s contributions and gives them a place in the movement.
#inclusiveness : Being open to all ideas makes everyone feel welcome and grows the movement.
#unity : Avoiding criticism of each other’s ideas fosters unity, essential to the cohesiveness and effectiveness of the movement.

Dear citizens of a crumbling nation, have you even noticed our country is being demolished all around us? Haven’t you noticed the pillars shaking, the foundation cracking, and debris falling everywhere?

What a waste! It really hasn’t required much effort to see what the hell has been happening here. It’s been getting steadily worse every day, for a very long time. All that was ever needed to see it daily was a simple common-sense compass pointed in any direction.

Had we not been asleep, we could have easily prevented the carnage in every sector.
